Measuring the wait for treatment


Waiting for medical treatment can be difficult, stressful and potentially deadly. But it is a fact of life in Canada. In fact, even as a growing number of US policymakers and pundits point to Canada’s healthcare system as a panacea to be embraced, it continues to deliver unacceptable outcomes for millions. By shining a light on the waiting-list morass in Canada, Fraser Institute researchers are providing Canadians with information to help them make personal healthcare decisions—and providing Americans with information to help them make sound public-policy decisions.
