Event Details:

What does Capitalism really mean? This workshop will discuss both the real and potential impacts of capitalist institutions on the well-being of the world’s poor, and will cover important concepts such as market competition, incentives, property rights and the rule of law. The international focus of the lessons is enhanced by case studies drawn from such diverse locations as China, Vietnam, Peru and Argentina. The lessons employ a variety of teaching strategies that promote active learning, and will enable educators to bring capitalism into the classroom for a variety of subjects including Social Studies, History, Economics and Business courses.
